Hi, my name is Finnderson Pinkerington, but you can call me Finn. I am currently in my third (delightful) year of medical school at University of Detroit Mercy. I am doing my residency in the pediatrics ward of the Detroit Mercy hospital. Seeing the children, toddlers, infants, and newborns really fills me with joy. So much life! Such wonder in their eyes! After a personal experience with one of these children, I decided to focus on cleft palate. Her name was Allison, and I will never forget her.
I was an intern under Dr. Rahm Meyers at the time. I helped him help Allison through the process, a small number of small reconstructive surgeries, and I saw the difference his work made in the lives of Allison's family. Though she was too young to understand what was going on, I knew that someday she would appreciate Dr. Meyers' work. I knew right then that I wanted help other kids like Allison, and I knew I would.
Welcome to my blog. Enjoy your stay, chat, learn something, share!
